Laghetti Vineyards, Napa, CA was established in 2001 when the first Merlot grapes were planted by Marty & Wendy Gibson, proprietors. Laghetti is the Italian word for "little lakes" and the vineyard's label illustrates one of those lakes. Over the next few years Sangiovese grapes were added to the property and the blended wine created was called "Clante" . In addition, Laghetti Vineyards has over 400 Italian Olive Trees and an Italian Olive Oil is made every winter. Laghetti Vineyards currently has Clante and Merlot for sale for the years 2005 & 2006.
